200 million birds and counting

This just in… People REALLY like Angry Birds. The game that has taught us how to strategically throw animals at one another has surpassed 200 million downloads. Considering that this is a game that has only been around since 2009, that is quite an accomplishment. The game has gone from a simple downloaded single game to having three versions; Angry Birds, Angry Birds Seasons, and Angry Birds Rio. This puts Angry Birds in the same breath as your major games in my opinion. When you have something that your mom can mention as a game she plays, you have created something special.

Angry Birds has been released on just about every platform with merchandising and board games abound. The next service to be getting this addictive game is Windows Phone 7 sometime in June. I believe the date is around the 29th. Adding another avenue for downloads may move this birdie to the top of the charts very soon. Have you downloaded Angry Birds? Have you developed a love for the game or are you tired of flinging birds at pigs?
