Mystery for some, Rum for some others, fun for all!

This week we have a few items of interest hitting the shelves or movies screen in your local neighborhood. The big ticket movie for this weekend is Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. It’s another installment on the Pirates franchise staring Johnny Depp in his iconic role as Jack Sparrow. On Stranger Tides take us along with Captain Sparrow and his search for the Fountain of Youth. Knowing Disney would never deviate too much from what has made the series successful, expect lots of action and Lots of Sparrow wit and humor.
I'll see you this weekend, mate!

On DVD this week we have Vanishing on 7th Street, The Mechanic, The Rite, The Roommate, and The Other Woman. The movie of note in this bunch would be The Roommate. It is the story of an not all there college freshmen and how she becomes obsessed with her new roommate. The movie stars Leighton Meester and Minka Kelly. The movie did not do very well with the critics but most movies of this nature don’t.
On the docket for video game releases are L.A. Noire for Xbox 360, The Witcher 2:Assasins of Kings for the PC, The First Templar for Xbox, Fable 3 for Xbox, Fallout: New Vegas- Honest Hearts for Xbox and PS3, Shift 2: Unleashed for PS3, Crysis 2: Retaliation. As with any game release, this list may change and some of them might not hit the shelf this week. The big gun in this lot is L.A. Noire. There has been extensive advertising and media push on this game. As with anything Rockstar does, I’m sure there will be little quirk but overall it should be an enjoyable game. As I had posted previously, this will be one of the games I will be reviewing on this blog. Look for my views and game play information later this week.

Are you really refusing my offer to play L.A. Noire?

Not too much happening this week but enough to keep us busy. With the summer months starting to creep up, the gaming side should slow down. Video games usually do not release much during the summer month with is a good thing. Gives us a chance to get caught up on all those game we bought during the winter. Maybe a flashback section should be in order to see what really good games you may have missed or completely forgot about. The box office will be warming up very soon with the much anticipated final Harry Potter movie coming in July. I will post every week what will be hitting the streets and theaters so you can plan your entertainment for the week!
