The end of an era. James "Whitey" Bulger arrested

     MSNBC is reporting the wanted mobster Whitey Bulger, 81, leader of the notorious Winter Hill Gang has been arrested in Santa Monica. With his capture, this marks an end to one of the most sought after mobsters in recent years. Whitey has been allegedly tied to 19 murders, racketeering, conspiracy to commit murder, extortion, conspiracy to commit extortion, money laundering, conspiracy to commit money laundering and narcotics distribution. Bulger had fled authorities back in 1995 when tipped off by a federal agent John Connolly that he was going to be arrested and has been seen all over the world until his arrest today. He is most famously known for allegedly working with the FBI and passing along information while being allowed to continue his crime enterprise.
